PPM Disaster Response: EF-4 Tornado in northern Mississippi
On Friday, March 24, an EF-4 tornado ripped through Mississippi, staying on the ground for nearly 60 miles. Currently, at least 25 people are reported dead and the property damage is immense across the state.
Praying Pelican Missions has staff on the ground in Jackson, 60 miles from where the tornado started. We are in communication with partners in the area as well as area churches who are already on the ground serving. Our Jackson PPM partner churches were quick to jump into action, purchasing needed supplies and donations to deliver to survivors and first responders. Along with chainsaws and tools, they will be sending church and community members to the affected area this week to begin clearing debris and offering support in any way they can.
Please be praying for these communities that were in the path of this severe storm. If you feel led to recruit a team to go and serve, please utilize the "request info" form below. We are currently assessing the most appropriate response with our partners.
