And so the day has finally come for our groups to arrive in the country, and boy are we EXCITED!!! We are geared up and ready to go!!! They should be arriving very shortly after 10. As soon as we are able to find internet access, Ill post pics!!!

Just some bits of info for you, there have been some changes to the staff, however we are sooooo excited about these changes. Burton and Karissa are working with a team this week in their home church, so Pastor Mark and Pastor Floyd will be working with us. You'll be hearing a lot about them I am sure!!

So just sit back and relax, because your friends and family are about to have the time of their lives! We are stoked to see God work in each life, not only in the locals, but in our groups too! :)

So the group arrived this afternoon all safe and sound. They all loaded up on the bus, grabbed a quick lunch at Cheers, and headed into the BEAUTIFUL town of Succotz. This place is so quaint, and the weather is awesome (we now consider overcast to be a blessing!). At this current moment, the groups are in the church which isnt but about 30 feet behind me, singing to the top of their lungs to Jesus! This is the coolest sound! I know I can speak for all the PPM staff when I say this, so here it is. We are in LOVE with these groups! and this week is going to be imprinted on lives around the world from the work God allows us to do here for Him! Our prayer is that Christ works through us BIG TIME this week, and that we dont get in the way of His mighty works.

I know all the groups are super appreciative of your prayers... so keep 'em coming! :)

also, if you would like to leave comments, DO IT! I know the groups would love to hear from you guys!!!!

Tomorrow starts the hard work. And these guys are ready for it! Lets do this thing!!!!

All is going INSANELY WELL!!!

Yesterday was PHENOMENAL! Sorry for the delay on the update. I wasnt really near anywhere with the internet yesterday so Ill update you on the success for yesterday and today. I know you cant see the smile on my face or excitement in my voice when i say this, but its been AWESOME!!!!!!! The team has worked seamlessly together, which says so much about the individuals in the group. Its absolutely incredible the potential that is being revealed in this group!

So yesterday the group worked on a couple tables and bookshelves for the internet cafe that sits beside the church here in Succotz, while another part went around door to door to pray for the community and see this condition of this village on foot. I know yesterday was tough because most of us still havent adapted to the heat or time change, but I havent heard one complaint from anyone. These young adults and adults have stepped it up, and willingly taken on so much for the Kingdom. Its all for the people, and they realize that!

Yesterday was filled with a little construction, a little VBS, a sports ministry, and a ton of MUD WRESTLING! I fell victim to this along with Bob, Dan, Spencer, Hunter, Deon (our bus driver), and about 10 other people. But what can you do when you have three guys dragging you into a mud puddle??? Do like Bob, and fight back by taking everyone down with you!!! It was the funniest thing!!!

I was not personally with the group today, but as I sit here and type this, I am looking at the finished product of 8 tables and a large bookshelf! They KICKED IT today!!!!

I want to personally thank you for being so supportive of this group. Its so encouraging to them to be able to hear from you guys! Theyve only been here for three days and you all have FLOODED the website with comments. I appreciate that as much as they do. It tends to make the sting of being away from home less painful. :)

Making Memories.

As I begin this post, I have to look around and give you a description of whats going on. Outside of the building, I see Brandon, Shawn, Spencer, and about 4 other guys playing Futbol (or soccer as we Americans call it) with about 40 kids / teenagers, I hear Jackie, Wendy, Reid and others singing songs with the little kids. I see Hunter, Dan, Jessica, Kelsey, Raleigh, and Susan, and others doing crafts with some of the kids. I feel the warm breeze blow, I feel the excitement in the air, and hear laughter from the kids.... What a sight.

Today has been incredible. In fact, every time I log on to make a new post I have a hard time coming up with words to describe things going on because words alone simply do not paint the picture for you. God is truly using these teams for His glory!!! As eyes are opened, truth is revealed, and hearts are softened, God is showing Himself, and let me tell you, major learning opportunities are taking place. I wish you could be here to see this as much as these teams do.

This morning we took a little break from all this work, and headed out to some local Mayan ruins. (note the pic. everyone was on the top of the ruins!!!) What a fun day!!! I believe everyone needed a few hours of down time, so it was very much appreciated. Then the groups split back up and headed to their churches for another day of VBS.

Everything is going so well. and might I add that the groups LOVED hearing your comments last night. Keep them coming!

Working working working...

So first of all, im having some technical difficulties as far as these pics go. dont know whats going on or where the group pic went. dont know if its a website error or user error, but we are working it out. group pic will be back up soon.

today the group has split into two groups, one is finishing up the internet cafe project here in Succotz (note pic. they thought youd cry connie, so there you go! they are missing all of you back home, so know they wanted to write everyones names on the wall, there just wasnt enough room). the cafe is looking so GOOD!!! this group working their tails off!!!

the other part of wesley split and went to Santa Elena to work on the roofing project. i have not personally gone over to the site today, but i hear it is going very very well!

These teams are finally totally in the groove of culture change, heat adaption and are completely impressing me and the PPM staff team. They are definitely making the most of their short time here in Belize.

I tomorrow as soon as i find internet. Stay tuned,

Yawn - from Ms. Jan - why is Panera so early? Kelsey and Molly are really here this morning. We all found out that Kelsey eats deodorant - do you? Ms. Sharon says she hopes the weather is cooperating and that you are getting done everything you wanted to. Hope VBS is going well - Go Sparky Girls. Ms. Robin was driving through Swan Quarter last week and remembered hitting the dead alligator when she went to pick up Shane from last year's mission trip. It popped up and hit the windshield - that does not happen in Maryland. Ms. JoEllen said she will be there to pick you up. She is even taking off work early to be there. Don't worry Tim and Zack, if she is a no show, we'll give you a lift home. Jesus (Shane) is performing tonight in Godspell. We were remembering the special attention James received when we all went to see Godspell before you left for Belize. Hey guys! We're sitting with the morning prayer group at panera (got up at 7:00! it was awful.). All of your mommas are all worried about you and can't stop talking about it...mostly connie..meg. Woah Hi guys! I hope belize is going super amazing! And your staying safe from the heat and the bugs! I miss you also! Just to tell you umm Maryland is still boring like always! The only cool thing that happened was it rained.. not really exiting! Oh and also don't die from the heat because I'm guessing its HOT! I'm sure that every one their LOVES having you guys around and super exited to see a new face! Also you guys are helping them with their everyday life and their own faith walk! I wish I could of gone! But I found cool facts about Belize! (1.Belize has a rare breed of howler monkey that is known as one of the top ten loudest animals in the world). And you may want to ask what a Howler monkey is because I have NO clue what they are but if you see one that would be amazing! :) Also another cool fact is 2. It is culturally rude to greet someone by their first name when meeting them for the first time in Belize. yeah be safe and not rude haha Bye guys! and just know Jesus loves you! and so do I! :)
